Hurghada Airport Parking Guide

Hurghada Airport Parking Guide

One of the most common concerns of tourists traveling to Hurghada International Airport is indeed the parking options and fees.

If you are planning a trip to this popular vacation destination in Egypt, don’t worry about parking. I have prepared a comprehensive guide for you.

Parking Types and Features

There are basically three different parking options at Hurghada Airport: Short-Stay, Long-Stay and Valet/VIP, each with its own advantages.

Short-Stay Parking is located directly opposite Terminals 1 and 2 and is only 1-2 minutes walking distance from the terminal. It is ideal for dropping off or picking up passengers. You have to pay EGP 50 for the first 12 hours and a total of EGP 100 for 12-24 hours. This area is under 24-hour surveillance with CCTV cameras and you can pay by cash or credit card at the exit barrier.

Long Term Parking is located 220-300 meters from the main terminal. You can reach it by following the pedestrian sidewalk or by using the free shuttle minibuses. The daily rate here is EGP 100. Although there is no official weekly discount, you can get a 10-15% discount for stays longer than 7 days if you pay the attendant in advance.

Valet/VIP Parking is a great option for those looking for comfort. Included in EAC’s “Meet-and-Assist Fast Track” package, your car is picked up at the terminal gate and towed to the long-term parking lot. The one-way fare ranges between EGP 200-250 and you can pay by credit card at the VIP desk.

Capacity and Security

According to my personal experience and official sources, the total vehicle capacity of the airport is approximately 1,500 vehicles. There are also special areas for buses and passenger minibuses. The parking lots are secured 24/7 by cameras and armed airport police patrols.

For electric vehicle users, there are 6 charging stations with 22 kW Type-2 inputs, especially in the long-term parking lot section. Wrap-kiosks and luggage trolley stations are also available for luggage security.

Current Parking Fare Table (2025)

The parking fees valid as of April 2025 are as follows:

  • 0-12 hours: EGP 50 (approximately USD 1)
  • 12-24 hours: EGP 100 (approx. USD 2)
  • Each additional day: 100 EGP (approximately 2 USD)
  • 7-day parking: EGP 700 (approximately USD 14)
  • Valet service (one way): EGP 200-250 (approximately USD 4-5)

When I went to Hurghada during my last summer vacation, I used the long-term parking lot and was able to get a 10% discount by paying the attendant in advance for 10 days of parking. I would like to point out that airport parking fees across Egypt are gradually updated in 2023-2024, so there may be tariff revisions during the year. Below we have a parking fee calculator tool for hurghada airport which we strongly recommend you to use.

Tips

I would like to share a few important tips about parking at Hurghada Airport:

There is no free “Kiss & Fly” lane in front of the terminal for those who want to stop and drop off passengers. Even for short-term drop-offs, you have to enter through the barrier and pay a minimum of EGP 50.

If you are going to park for a long time, you can get a discount of up to 10% by offering to pay cash in advance to the attendants. This is a common tactic used by local drivers.

You can combine valet service with VIP packages. The package, which includes lounge access, fast passport control and valet service, is especially advantageous for trips of 3 people or more.

During the peak season between June and September, 90% of the 1,500-car capacity fills up at noon. I recommend arriving 30 minutes early or using the valet service to guarantee a seat.
